I am a friendly and experienced tutor with a Physics BSc from the University of St Andrews, and an MA in Music from the Royal Academy of Music. I continue to keep a foot in both worlds, working as a Physics/Maths/Music Tutor, and a professional classical singer.
I have been tutoring for over 7 years, racking up nearly 2500 one-to-one teaching hours. I have a proven track record of helping students improve their confidence, develop study skills, and achieve the grades they need.
On average over the last few years, my GCSE students have seen a rise of 2-3 grade boundaries over a year of tuition, and my A-Level students have seen a rise of 1-2 grade boundaries. All six of my previous ABRSM Music Theory students have achieved distinction.
I will always tailor lessons to your individual needs. If you need some support with the subject material, I can support with content revision and help develop study skills. If you want to improve your exam technique then I can help you develop your problem-solving skills and give tips and tricks for sitting the papers. Everybody is different, but my core ethos is that practice makes perfect!
