I am currently working as a Research Associate in Cardiff University within HealthWise Wales, a longitudinal population study of Wales.
I completed my PhD in mental health epidemiology in 2016 and undertook my first post-doctoral Research Fellow position in the Centre for Public Health, Queen's University Belfast. I have previously acquired an MSc in population research and have a background in psychology (BSc).
I am a passionate individual for sharing knowledge and I enjoy teaching. I have a genuine understanding of human psychology and how to help people towards exploring and overcoming challenging conditions.
I am focused, motivated and enjoy watching learners improve during the process of teaching.
I have an array of teaching experience including primary and university level tutoring. The latter I have focused on in recent years due to my academic work. I have experience of marking and moderation at higher education level.
I am looking forward for taking online grinds so that I can reach students facing constrains due to presonal conditions and/ or geographical distance.
I am flexible in my approach of teaching and can adapt to the learning strengths and weaknesses of each student. I am able to assist with essays and coursework and dissertation/ research proposals. Editing and proof-reading services are also available, as well as preparation of employment and college applications.
I want the student to be as involved in their own learning process as possible in order to learn how to work through their problems independently. I am familiar with the use of interactive tools, virtual classes through Skype etc.
