Personal Description:

¡Hola! My name is Orla, and I am a passionate Secondary School teacher in the South Dublin area. I hold a dual degree in Spanish and Business from DCU (Dublin City University) and have furthered my expertise with a Masters in Education, also from DCU. What sets me apart as a Spanish tutor is not just my academic qualifications, but my authentic connection to the language and culture. Having lived in Spain on two separate occasions. During this time I also had the incredible opportunity to study for a year at a prestigious Spanish university, deepening my language proficiency and appreciation for Spanish customs. My experiences as a Spanish teacher in Dublin and my academic background have equipped me with valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies and strategies to cater to different learning styles. I pride myself on fostering a genuine enthusiasm for Spanish among my students and empowering them to achieve their language-learning goals.

Tutoring Experience:

With seven years of teaching experience in both Junior and Senior Cycle Spanish in Secondary school, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. My passion for teaching and helping students excel in their language skills has driven me to become a successful Spanish tutor outside the classroom as well. Over the last four years, I have been providing personalised grinds to numerous students, tailoring my approach to suit their individual needs and learning styles.

Approach to Grinds:

I have experience in providing both online and face to face tuition depending on what is preferable to each student. As a Secondary School teacher, I am very familiar with the State Spanish exams and have a large array of resources which will be shared with students. With experience in teaching both Junior and Senior Cycle Spanish, I am well-equipped to tailor my lessons to suit the unique learning needs of individuals at various proficiency levels. My goal is to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment, where students feel encouraged to embrace their linguistic journey with confidence.
