Personal Description:
My Name is Bernadette. I am Irish but have a German husband. We lived in Germany for several years and we still visit regularly. I have an honours BA in German and have been giving grinds to second level students as well as casual adults for the last 8 years.
Tutoring Experience:
Giving German grinds for the last 8 years - one on one. I have worked with junior and leaving cert students on oral, aural and written German and have succeeded in helping them improve their grades and reach their full potential. I have also helped adults prepare for moving abroad to a German speaking country.
Approach to Grinds:
Uebung macht den Meister - Practice makes Perfect!! I assess a student to see where their difficulties lie and then work on those areas through drillings/practising. For oral LC German, I help put together potential conversation/topics and together we practise them to attain more confidence and fluency. For written work, I find the weaknesses and drill same.
