Hi! I’m Zaib and I’m a second year Medical student studying at Keele University, who is passionate about teaching, education and helping others. Academically, I have achieved straight A*s (9/8s) in Sciences and Maths at GCSE and 3 A*s at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Having transitioned from A-Levels into a Medical degree, I understand the challenge that comes with when embracing the major cornerstone in education. I truly believe that anyone can achieve the grades that they want to, with the right approach and work ethic!

Tutoring Experience

I have experience in both working with and tutoring children - I have very much enjoyed working with Year 6 students from a diverse range of primary schools in preparing them for their Level 6 SATs exams. Also, I have taught Year 7 students through the Peer Mental Health Project Initiative. I am a patient and enthusiastic individual who will help prospective students to improve in their learning and to do better in their exams.

Alongside, I currently tutor students online on the KS2, KS3 and GCSE syllabuses of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, including different exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. This has provided me with a wealth of experience of different subject areas of knowledge and how this can be used to help students succeed in their exams.

Tutoring Approach

I will work with student to work on their individual goals. This can be in the form of exam technique, in which I would go through exam questions with the student and assess whether it is understanding the question or knowledge gap. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have in the first 15 minutes of the session. Then, I will explain concepts of the topic to the student using visual methods and mnemonics and complete exam questions in the next 45 minutes.
