I am a Modern Languages graduate, with a keen interest in all things Arts & Culture - theatre, literature, film. I am a firm believer in the power of the Arts to open up new worlds and it is this very passion that has driven my studies and work as a tutor.

I grew up bilingual and have always been fascinated by language(s): from how we learn it to how we use it. My interest in education stems from my own, somewhat unconventional experience: I spent years 9 - 11 studying at home, self-teaching my GCSEs. Just before that, I had lived in Italy, where I learnt Italian entirely through immersion as I could not speak a word of the language before I moved there. Since then, I have always pursued opportunities to support students during throughout their education.

Tutoring Experience

I am a highly experienced Humanities tutor, with eight years of experience. I have taught >5000 lessons, of which ~2500 alone are on another tutoring platform, where I have a an average 5* rating. My students have varied from youngsters preparing for entrance exams to corporate leaders brushing up their French. I have worked with students of differing academic abilities with great success and can also rely on my experience as a teaching assistant in both London and Paris.

Tutoring Approach

I always aim for my sessions to individualised. Based on any specific academic and/or personal goals, I will propose a learning plan, i.e., the content to cover and at which pace. I have access to a wealth of resources that I myself used, and can provide you with to further develop your skills. I will make the lessons engaging through my personable approach, and will maximise our lesson time to benefit you. I would like to build your confidence in your chosen subject(s), as well as to help you fully achieve your potential.

I also offer guidance with university applications, i.e., Personal Statements and mock interviews. I can completely appreciate how overwhelming and stressful it can be. I hope that my advice and tips can help you make a successful application, whichever stage you may be at.
