In addition to being a fully qualified school teacher, I have a significant amount of industry experience in using Maths in the workplace. This allows me to make Maths 'real' to my students and helps the learning process.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified Maths teacher at a Secondary school in Wiltshire. In addition, I have tutored pupils for over 20 years and have a very good sense of how children learn different concepts.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is very much pupil-driven. What this means is that I alter my approach depending on the learning style of each student. How one student learns is very different to how another student may perhaps learn.My lessons are varied with a focus on 'fun' and 'real life applications', which help the students learn, pick up new ideas quickly and most importantly, remember them.

I cover tips on how to prepare to answer exam questions, common mistakes and the do's and don'ts when it comes to manipulating mathematical problems.
