My time in school has made me realise how much I enjoy teaching primary aged children and how important it is to value each child as an individual. I aim to give children as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and challenge them in their learning.
I am motivated by the belief a teacher’s responsibility is to give children the best experience of learning in their childhood so that they can gain confidence and become resilient learners who are ready to take on any challenge as they develop through their life.
I am a fully qualified Primary school Teacher with 4 years of teaching in Primary schools in Hertfordshire. I have experience in teaching all subjects of the National Curriculum. Prior to coming in to teaching I have worked as a school based interpreter supporting children in both secondary and Primary schools. During this time I have learnt how to motivate and support individuals from different background and needs to help them access the curriculum.
My approach to teaching is based on the needs of the individual learner. Therefore it is important to adapt the teaching style so that it is child centered and based on the learners interests. Teaching in Hertfordshire primary schools has supported me in developing my knowledge in different and current strategies for engaging students. This will ensure there is consistency in home and school teaching to help the learner.
I strongly believe that children should be encouraged to become independent learners and be involved in their own target settings with the guidance of the class teacher so that they understand how they are going to improve their work.
