I have over 34 years experience as a class teacher and Headteacher. I believe every child should have the opportunity to succeed, enjoy learning and build confidence in their abilities.
I have taught students from Reception to Year 6 (5 - 11 years), of all abilities. I was a Headteacher of a primary school for 6 years. Throughout my career, I have always tried to identify a student's strengths and interests and build on these to help them achieve across the curriculum.
I start by listening to the student to find out what they enjoy, what subjects they like and what they want help/support with. I adapt my teaching to each child's ability, age and learning style. I always aim to develop confidence and a love of learning.
