Xirong has been helping my year 10 son with his GCSE Mandarin. He is finding the lessons very helpful and he really enjoys working with her. We are planning to continue the lessons. Thank you!

Xirong's lessons are inspiring, informative and enjoyable. She has a good pace covering useful phrases and interacts with testing sentences giving opportunity to role play conversations in every day situations. Xirong praises each phrase correctly delivered and reinforces correct pronunciation if wrong in a positive manner. Highly recommended! If you require a confident, happy and knowledgeable Chinese tutor then Xirong is highly recommended!

I have a very good time in Xirong's lessons. She is very patient with me if I am struggling with something, and is always willing to explain in a way that I can easily understand. She also has a good sense of humour as well, so the lessons never feel too serious and intimidating.

Xirong is a very patient and thoughtful teacher. Her lessons are well structured, and there are plenty of opportunities to practise vocabulary in a safe space. She adjusts the pace of her classes well to support the needs of her student and takes the time to understand why you want to learn the language to ensure full commitment to learning. I have had three Cantonese lessons with Xirong now and I am starting to feel much more confident in my ability and pronunciation (I hope Xirong agrees!)

My grandson is 17 years old and dyslexic he has never studied a foreign language before starting Mandarin. He is very keen to do Chinese studies at university so decided to start Mandarin lessons to give himself a better chance of being accepted on the course. He has enjoyed his lessons with Xirong very much and is making excellent progress. Xirong explains everything in a clear patient manner and my grandson feels that she is an excellent teacher.

We started our children (aged 3 and 5) with Xirong for Mandarin lessons after we moved back to the UK from Singapore (where they had previously been learning it).
