I am a first-year student at UCL studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering, having achieved First Class Honours in my first-year exams. I have a strong background in mathematics through the UKMT, where I ranked in the top 50 nationally in the Hamilton Olympiad, qualified for BMO1 in both Year 10 and Year 11, and attended the UKMT Summer School. At GCSE, I achieved grade 9 in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, English Language, Geography, and History. At A-Level, I achieved A* in Mathematics and A in Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
I have been tutoring mathematics since Year 12, with over 30 hours of experience teaching students from Year 3 to Year 11. I am now focusing on secondary school students, helping them build solid foundations in mathematics and confidence in problem-solving.
I focus on changing how students think about tackling problems. Instead of relying only on memorised methods, I encourage them to approach questions from different angles, identify key information, and reason logically. This way, even if they are unsure how to fully solve a question, they can still deduce steps and gain marks rather than leaving it blank. My Olympiad experience has shaped this approach, and I aim to pass on the same problem-solving mindset to my students.
