Wendy's Feedback

Wendy has been working with our 17 year old son for over 12 months. Her patient, calm approach helped him pass his biology Nat 5, having failed it first time round and is now assisting him with his Human biology Higher. We have no doubt he would not have the potential to pass without Wendy's help and assistance.

Ms Wendy provided tutoring to my son in the lead up to his National 5 Chemistry exams. Wendy is an extremely professional, well organised individual who was always well prepared for the sessions. My son found Wendy to be extremely approachable, and she was able to explain the concepts he did not understand fully and identify any gaps in his knowledge. As a result of this, his confidence grew and he began to thoroughly enjoy the subject.
Wendy also provided very good exam preparation in the lead up to his prelim exam and the National 5. As a result, he achieved a high A grade in his prelim (National 5 results awaited).

I would thoroughly recommend Wendy and we are hoping to engage her services for the Higher exam.

Wendy has been absolutely fantastic as a tutor for my daughter who has just sat chemistry higher. About 2 weeks ago I had a daughter in tears who wanted to drop out of the exam this year and repeat the year, having struggled with the fast pace in the class. After her first session with Wendy she was already much happier, and her confidence increased dramatically. Exam sat and fingers crossed! Very highly recommended.

Wendy clearly prepared for the sessions, asking in advance as to the girls' current school topics and the session worked off that, proving both relevant to my daughters, but also providing scope and context additional to the standard school material.

Wendy has been an outstandingly good tutor. Our daughter went from a borderline pass in her prelims to an A in her National 5s. Just as importantly, Wendy made her enjoy Chemistry once again. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Wendy as she has been a very positive influence on our daughter.

My daughter needed a C grade in a science subject iat GCSE n order to be able to study for a teacher training degree.
Under a lot of time pressure, Wendy managed to give her 12 hours tutoring. My daughter then acxhieved an A grade in Biology!!

Wendy is a superb teacher. She always has material prepared with plenty of examples and experiments. Being a teacher, she has an excellent grasp of the new curriculum, providing sources which demonstrate the different levels and stages.

My daughter Clare, is in S2 and keen to become a vet. However, her S1 science teacher was disappointing and so to avoid Clare becoming negative about science I enlisted Wendy to make it interesting for her and bring it to life. Wendy has certainly succeeded in capturing Clares interest as she loves science now. I plan to continue with these lessons for Clare throughout her secondary education.

I would recommend Wendy to anyone looking for help with science.

Wendy did a 1st class job of tutoring and preparing my daughter for both her chemistry and biology exams, being thorough and relatable was a large part of the value added but also the fact that Wendy still shows a real interest and has asked to be kept up to date with the exam results shows her professionalism. Wendy has helped my daughter regain confidence in her own abilities. She discusses with her what aspects of the higher sylabus she wants support with and then explains in such a way that helps Ellie make sense of things. Wendy is well prepared and organised.
