I have recently retired from teaching but would like to continue helping young people attain their goals at A level. History remains my key interest and I will be developing further my PhD research on C19 government and citizenship. I can also support GCSE students
I retired recently from a sixth form college after 7 years there and previously I worked for 14 years at a high achieving comprehensive. I have taught A level courses on Tudor England, C20 British political and social history, C19/20 political protest, US civil rights, C20 China, Cold War and French Revolution . I have taught the new linear courses.
I work with students to determine their precise needs and match these closely to the specific exam requirements. I will work on both knowledge and skills. As I have taught very recently I have expertise in preparing students for their A levels, and doing so on a 1:1 basis is most effective
