I am currently studying flute at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and am in the fourth and final year of the BMus course. I am mainly based around the Greenwich area but I take students from any part of London. I am a friendly, hardworking and creative individual with a passion for all things music. I enjoy all genres and can play and teach anything from contemporary to Baroque and also regularly play other instruments in the flute family (Piccolo, Alto flute and Bansuri).
I began my musical journal at the age of 8 studying both flute and piano. By age 15 I had gained a place in Bristol Pre-Conservatoire and a seat in the Bristol School's Philharmonia Orchestra, where I progressed to principal flute within a year. At age 16 I got awarded the prestigious title of Bristol City Wait, a position as the official minstrel for the Mayor of Bristol for the duration of a year during which I played in the Colston Hall, St George's and the Lord Mayor's Chapel. Further to this, I have previously been invited to play with the Orchestra of the Swan.
Whilst in London, I have learnt under Susan Milan, Fiona Kelly, Eliza Marshall and Christopher Green. As part of my BMus course, I have also been specialising in music teaching for the past 2 years.
Currently I am principal flute of the Cinematic Syncopations Orchestra, FlautingIt, and a flute, harp and viola trio.
Alongside my playing and instrumental teaching, I am also passionate about community music. I have previously helped run the MusicOnWheels bus, Animate Online and I have even created my own courses as Notate Create Innovate.
If you're interested in fun lessons with an enthusiastic teacher then feel free to contact me and we can discuss how to begin your musical journey!
I currently hold an Enhanced DBS.

From a young age, I was involved with teaching others and sharing my love for music, leading flute ensembles at my school and helping younger students with their studies. I then went on to work in a primary school as a lunch time supervisor and have volunteered in church primary groups.
Last year, I participated in a collaborative arts projects in a local special needs secondary school. I went in once a week to work with them on their music and creative skills which culminated in a performance at the end of the term.
I have spend the last 2 years specialising in music teaching and have experience teaching one-to-one private tuition with varying ages of student. I currently have a 100% distinction rate for flute exams.
I am an encouraging and enthusiastic person and love to see the progress that students make each week. I will help my students set achievable goals and devise plans on how to get them there in creative and enjoyable ways. Using their strengths I will tailor the lessons to the individual's needs and teach in the style that best suits them, whether it's through graded exams, new activities, extended techniques or playing folk for fun!
