Vanessa's Feedback

Vanessa tutored my daughter in English Language and Literature in year 11. She was great at helping my daughter overcome her mental block in the subjects, learn new techniques and, crucially, gain confidence to unlock her potential. The improvement was apparent right from the start of the sessions and Vanessa was instrumental in helping achieve the results my daughter was after in her GCSEs.

We had only one lesson with the tutor, and unfortunately due to limited availability we were unable to continue the lessons. Thanks.

Vanessa is very kind. Our children took her online tuition in their early days, and now they have received their wanted offers from their next school. Thank you.

It's early days in Vanessa's support for Jack but she is already making a huge difference to him. He is engaged for the full hour of their lesson and motivated to practice the tasks that she leaves with us for the week. We could see improvements immediately and feel lucky to have found her.

Vanessa has been a brilliant motivation for my 7 year old daughter. She has helped get through English work sent home from school in C19, and produce some wonderful descriptive stories

Vanessa has been brilliant for my daughter and has shown her that maths isn't scary and that she can do it. I would recommend Vanessa to primary aged children.

Vanessa is a committed teacher who makes an effort to give her best. However, I felt my child needs a teacher specifically for GCSE geography as he’s missed out on a fair bit that was covered last year so will be looking for a geography teacher specifically.

Vanessa has been really supportive of my son throughout the exam period. She has been flexible including adding extra sessions when needed. She has enabled my son to feel confident whilst sitting the exams and I can truly see the benefits of their sessions. Vanessa has also managed to build a good relationship with my son an impressive feat with any teenager! Would thoroughly recommend

A wonderful and thankfully patient teacher. I have wanted to learn the violin for years but have been too nervous to try, Vanessa has been great at putting me at my ease and I now look forward to a lesson once a week. Vanessa offers a calm environment to learn in and is an excellent teacher, I can not recommend her enough.

Brilliant… Vanessa helped our son with his GCSE English language and Biology. The lessons were tailored specifically to help with the areas that he needed help with. He gained confidence and the revision help was invaluable. He has now passed his GCSE English language and GCSE combined science, with Vanessa's assistance he did really well. We are so proud of him and would like to thank Vanessa for her great lessons.

I have had 3 lessons with Vanessa during my summer holiday helping me towards my English GCSE. I have started preparing a year early as I want to pace myself with GCSE preparation. Vanessa is kind and helpful and her method of teaching makes me feel very positive about learning. English is not a difficult subject for me but Vanessa has shown me I can improve on comprehension and gain more marks in my exams. I love the way she has helped with my creative writing and is calm and fun to work with on Skype. Vanessa has been one of my best English teachers yet and I would love to keep studying with her up until my GCSEs.

Vanessa has been excellent at teaching English as a Foreign Language. She is very reliable at showing up promptly and sets the work at an appropriate pace and level.

Vanessa has been tutoring my daughter Charlotte since the middle of February 16, in English and Geography [Skype plus home visits ] and I cannot recommend her highly enough.In such a short period of time she has improved particularly in both English Language and Literature , with Vanessas style of teaching has helped a shy teenager become a lot more confident and prepared for her GCSE,s.Would like to say a big thank-you from us all.

Vanessa is currently teaching our 9 year old son English via Skype on our world travels. We cannot recommend her enough. We've being using Vanessa to help our 11 Year old son with his mathematics for a number of months now with outstanding results. Our Son has gone from struggling with basic mathematical concepts and no real interest in mathematics to the top in his year for times tables and numerous tests. More importantly he now has a real zest for mathematics and looks forward to his mathematics lessons in school and one on one sessions with Vanessa. It has to be said that Vanessa has identified and nurtured our son's learning technique producing excellent results. We would highly recommend Vanessa to family, friends and those using this website, if our youngest child requires mathematics assistance in the future we know exactly where to look.

She is a proactive teacher, always looking how to improve your skills and support you where you are not so strong. Flexible and motivational.

I am doing this review early on so that's the only reason I haven't said excellent- our little girl loves seeing Vanessa and so far the lessons are going very well

Lovely lady who in 3weeks has my 6year old daughter playing beautiful sounds on her violin. Great teacher, and Olivia looks forward to your lessons every Friday.

We have had a number of lessons with this tutor and have found her to be a great teacher and understanding. We are happy with our choice tutor.

Vanessa has been tutoring James for approximately 12 weeks. During this time we have noticed that James has improved significantly at a subject that he really struggled with. His latest mock results were a vast improvement on his previous grade and he is feeling more confident in his approach to this subject. Vanessa is always very patient with him and her kind and friendly approach has helped him with every aspect of this subject. I would most certainly highly recommend Vanessa as a tutor and cannot thank her enough for all her efforts.
It's Gcse results day & James is delighted to have achieved a B in English Literature & a B in English Language. Not too shabby for a student who achieved a D in English Language mocks and was told maybe literature isn't his thing… Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Vanessa for helping James to fulfil his potential. I wholeheartedly recommend Vanessa to anyone who is looking for an English tutor and can not thank her enough for everything she has done.

My daughter was thinking Geography was a mistake and would have been better to have taken History GCSE, a cry of help.
Vanessa has taught my daughter through her own enjoyment of Geography and expressed in a way which was appreciated by my daughter who appears to be enjoying Geography and is ready for her first GCSE tomorrow. I wish we had have found Vanessa earlier, it is not easy to find a good teacher like Vanessa.

Lovely lady, my daughter really likes her and is understanding maths more.

Vanessa is always very up beat and positive. Gentle and helpful but always getting the point across. My daughter was having a hard time in Geography but went from a D to an A in a few weeks with Vanessa. Highly recommended !

We live in the UAE and what was an initial face to face experience has become tutoring at a distance and it works incredibly well. How fantastic to be able to port Vanessa with us to the UAE. Being able to do so has enabled consistency of learning maintenance of the bond which developed between Annabelle and Vanessa in the UK.

Vanessa is an incredibly patient tutor. She created immediate rapport with my daughter which was hugely important in enabling her to make swift progress.

I cannot thank Vanessa enough for the help that she gave Tobias, our Austrian friends 16 year old son. Vanessa prepared for his visit in advance, very quickly established his needs and set to work on the key areas immediately. As a result the improvement in his English during the time she spent with him was clearly evident. I would highly recommend Vanessa, she was punctual, worked solidly from the time she arrived to the time she left, was always well prepared and had a lovely approachable whilst professional manner. A great find!
