Will recommend Van highly for Business A-Level/BTEC (Double). She was a fantastic teacher, driven, and organised teacher. She quickly developed a rapport with my son. The dialogue Van created during the tutoring sessions valued the thoughts and opinions of my son, encouraging him to be an active participant in his learning and development process. Back in January I was getting 9 to 12 out of 25 on the large essay questions and knew I had trouble with exam technique. Van's tutoring was very effective at targeting this weakness as we practiced as much as we could and did two 25 markers per week for homework. Lessons consisted of improving and speeding up my analysis and structuring essays.
I was impressed with Van's dedication to tutoring with quick marking (along with feedback) and making up her own exam after going through all the past papers.
Months later the tutoring paid off as I got into my first choice university with a solid A. I would highly recommend Van to anyone needing help with economics.

Van was an absolutely fantastic economics tutor for my son's AS and A levels. He achieved an AS - A grade with Van's help. He always looked forward to his sessions with her and she always had a smile on her face and I felt was very happy to be teaching and quite passionate about helping him. I would thoroughly recommend Van. He has now sat all his exams so we wont require Van anymore - we will miss her. You were fab Van.

Very knowledgeable, however can become a little frustrated when information is not being understood.

Van tutored my son last year for As Maths and Economics. She is an extremely intelligent young lady with vast knowledge of her subject areas and is able to teach them well. I have no hesitation in recommending her and in fact she is now tutoring my daughter for GCSE Maths.

Van was the perfect choice of tutor to support our son with his economics AS level. She was very good at communicating with him and had an extensive subject knowledge. As a result of her lessons our son became more confident with the subject. Van also worked on exam technique which was extremely valuable. Van was totally reliable and punctual and I could not recommend her more highly. It was a great pleasure to have can working with our son.

Great maths and economics tutor.

We were very disppointed with Van. My son was supposed to have A level economics lessons with her by Skype. However. she failed to organise a regular time for lessons and when a lesson had been arranged, she nearly always wanted to change the day or time, sometimes not letting us know until very close to the arranged time. She communicated mainly by email which is ineffective when trying to change arrangements. Overall she seemed not to care about tutoring and we wasted 6 weeks trying to make the arrangement work. This was important as by the time we gave up and found another tutor my son was 2 weeks away from the very exam he needed a tutor for. I would not recommend her as a tutor at all.

A brilliant tutor, her methods and attitude towards the work helped my daughter greatly. My daughter felt very comfortable with her positive attitude and I would definitely recommend van.

Van has been tutoring our daughter for one month now and her tuition is proving to be invaluable. As soon as she arrived for her first tutoring session she hit the ground running. Our daughter is very happy with the quality of her tuition and has gained confidence in the subject.

Van has been wonderfully supportive of our son, as she has provided extensive knowledge and understanding of AS Economics plus excellent strategies and guidance in regards to exam technique. Her preparation for the lessons is extensive and her thorough feedback has been invaluable. I would unreservedly recommend her as a tutor. We live overseas, so we have very successfully have used Skype and the internet for the tutoring sessions.

We are very happy that Van is our son's tutor, from the moment she started teaching him we were very impress with her dedication, hardworking and especially the manner in which she teaches.
Our son was predicted a D grade, less than 7 months before his exams. We decided to get a tutor. He had A in his GCSE exam yesterday. We can't thank Van enough. Van has tutored my son, via skype, for the past academic year in Economics & has provided extremely well structured lessons & homework. They have worked well together & have covered the whole AS & A2 syllabus in this time. She has always been punctual & flexible if the lesson time needed to change. She is a thoroughly professional & competent tutor & I am sure that Van will have helped my son improve his grade in Economics.

Van is a very reliable tutor who has travelled to our home to teach my son over the last few months. Van is not only an amazing person but she is a brilliant teacher. I had struggled a lot with one of my units in Economics and had taken this unit twice and had scored C grades twice. I logged onto firsttuors looking for a teacher who can teach well and knew the Economics papers inside out. Van showed she could do both these things excellently as well as be understanding and go through areas of concerns again and again until I understood it perfectly. She made notes with me, took me through the papers, taught me exam technique and showed me what I needed to do to get a Grade A.
I am taking this opportunity to thank Van for all her help getting me through this paper I found so difficult. With Van's help I was able to get a Grade A.
I totally recommend her-110%- especially if you want to improve your grade and go beyond your academic potential. Van's your woman!

Van is an excellent tutor, patient, proactive and personable.
