I am an Integrated Master's Biology graduate from the University of York and have recently completed my PhD in Neurogenetics at UCL. I am bilingual so am also available to tutor Italian.
In my free time I enjoy exercising, cooking, and travelling!
I have been tutoring for over 6 years in both Biology and Italian for numerous GCSE and A level students. All my tutoring experience has been online and I have experience with students of all different levels, who were all able to achieve their ideal grade and even more. Additionally to tutoring, I have done lab demonstrations during my PhD for master's students, where I combined both lab techniques and theoretical background to further their understanding of what they are learning.
Each lesson is highly specific to the student where I aim to help them achieve their potential so that they are one step closer to achieving their dream grade. I believe that a variety of different teaching techniques are vital for successful learning, and therefore I aim to use various interactive tools and challenges to get the most out of each lesson. Providing feedback after every lesson is really important to promote drive to continue learning and also for students to understand their areas of improvement, but also what they are good at to give them the confidence.
