As a semi retired primary school teacher, I have set up my own tutoring business because I love help children achieve. This way I can focus on each individual child and their specific needs rather than all the administration required in school.
I have an enhanced DBS on the update service.

Tutoring Experience

I have nearly 39 years teaching experience most of which has been in key stage two. I have been maths lead and English lead at various times in my career. I have also worked as a marker for the key stage two SATs.

Tutoring Approach

My focus is always on the child and how they learn. I concentrate on building confidence and ensuring that skills are built on solid foundations. I usually start my lessons with a chat to get any worries out in the open and then we have a game as revision before moving on ti new learning.
I keep parents in the loop by ensuring they know what we are learning each lesson. I also speak to parents if I have any concerns.
