My name's Tyler, and I'm from London - I've just finished my first year at university, where I study Accounting & Finance - I also have a strong passion for economics, and helping others to take agency over their learning.
Whilst studying for my A-Levels, I spent ~10 months tutoring GCSE students. I am most confident tutoring Maths, English and Economics. I have also had an internship with the Economic Research Council, in a Researcher-Writer role.
I like to assess students using exam papers from past years, to firstly identify their topics of weakness (or base this on feedback they have received from their teachers.) I use this information to plan the content of future sessions, using the relevant exam board's guidance as to what is likely to appear in a real GCSE paper. During sessions I like to periodically stop to pose a few practise questions related to the content we've covered so far, to ensure the student fully understands the topic, but also so that they can bring it back into their short term memory, to aid their understanding of future concepts.
