I am a diverse instrumentalist with an immense amount of teaching and performance experience. I am a London based Jazz pianist with 4 original albums under my belt and a number of other recordings as an accompanist. I have performed hundreds of shows in Australia, Paris and London.
Over the past 10 years I have taught music as a one on one piano tutor, a classroom music teacher and an ensemble director, large and small. I experience teaching from ages 7-45.
My approach to teaching is centred around and tailored to the individual students needs and goals. I believe in developing intrinsic motivation within my students through specific scaffolding techniques. I ensure that the content taught is difficult enough to challenge the student, but not so difficult to overwhelm them. I ensure that my content is fun, engaging and has a real world application in order to maintain the students interest.
