I'm Tristan, a guitarist with 8 years of playing experience and a degree in Music Production And Sound Engineering. I have a genuine passion for playing the guitar that began in my early teens through a love of folk music, since then I have developed an eclectic taste in music and have built up a solid grounding in contemporary styles such as rock, blues and jazz.
I have been fortunate enough to learn with many professional musicians in various workshops over the country, including a summer school at the prestigious Guildhall School Of Music And Drama, and jazz ensembles classes around Bristol. In addition I have experience performing live music both as a solo act and as part of a band.
As a guitar teacher I have experience teaching both beginners and intermediate players. I am also experienced in working with children.
My approach to teaching the guitar is to dig deeper into the enjoyment and interests of the individual student, I believe that in order for a student to make good progress, they must have useful and enjoyable applications of the content that they are learning. I will tailor lessons to the individual, and draw on professional resources and teaching methodologies to ensure effective progress whilst keeping things fun!
