I have been a teacher since 2008 and have worked in state and private schools up until 2022. I currently run my own private tutoring business, teaching children English and Maths from aged 5 to 11.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher, having taught in primary schools for fifteen years. I have taught all year groups from Reception to year 6 and spent many years in Years 1, 2 and 3. I left teaching a year ago to set up my own private tutoring business.

Tutoring Approach

I know the curriculum well for all year groups for both English and Maths.
I make Maths fun and engaging by including lots of games. For English I ensure there are no gaps in Phonics for Reading and that I am appealing to the child's interests when writing.
