Tony has been an excellent tutor for our daughter resulting to an A grade at Higher. He is able to explain things in a simple and relatable way whilst still allowing the student to try and find their own solutions. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Tony.

Tony was welcoming and friendly from day one. Katie was very nervous, however he made her feel comfortable and relaxed in every session.

Tony supported Katie through her Nat5 exams, where she gained a B, now we are continuing with Tony’s support as she enters Higher's as we know the support and tutoring definitely gave Katie confidence and knowledge to pass.

She is able to ask questions that perhaps wouldn’t be comfortable asking in class, and can spend time going over areas that she isn’t too clear on.

I would recommend Tony to any child who needs support as they go through their school years.

I was looking for a maths tutor at the 11th hour for my son's highers exams. With Tony's tutoring my son managed to turn his prelim grade into a pass. An improved maths grade for my son's further education was needed and he retook the exam the following year. Again, with Tony's monthly sessions the grade was turned into an A in Higher Maths.
Both my son and I have no hesitation recommending Tony as a maths tutor. Always approachable and professional, Tony's calm tutoring style resonated with my son as he was guided to work out answers and solutions. Regular feedback for both student and parent were useful, too.

My daughter had missed a month of higher maths due to being ill and failed her prelim. Tony was about to fill the gaps and build her confidence to get the pass she needed.

Tony was patient, thorough and always kept us informed of how things were progressing. We contacted Tony quite late into the school year but he was able to break down what to focus on in order to get the result my daughter needed to get into her first choice university! My son was struggling with higher maths, finding teacher going too fast in class and I’m home learning. Tony has been first class with him, establishing how he worked problems out and helping him look for alternative ways he may have found easier. Each weekly session my son gain a tremendous amount of confidence and has gone from an expected C grade to an A grade! Cannot thank Tony enough, he just ‘got’ what my son needed.

Very patient and flexible with dates and time

We used Tony for two of children for National 5 Maths over the course of 18 Months. As with any first steps in tutoring, you have worries, will my children get on with tutor, will they learn and commit.

All I can say to the above, when using Tony, the answer is a definitive yes. The children enjoyed the sessions as much as teenagers will tell you, and their skills in Maths improved and both passed better than what was expected by the school at the time.

He breaks down the subject into easier chunks, and gives positive feedback through out, he was always careful to ensure that my children understood any mistakes and were happy before moving on to the next section.

Tony was perfect for helping my daughter preparing for her Higher Exam. With his knowledge of maths, exam techniques and past papers he managed to build my daughters confidence and understanding of some difficult maths questions. From failing her prelims she past her exam with an A.

Tony tutored my daughter during S5 for Higher Maths. She went from a border line C pass in prelim to an A in final Higher exam with the help of weekly tuition from Tony.

My daughter always found Tony to be very patient - taking time to explain problem areas again and again until firmly understood and checking in following weeks that these problem areas were fully resolved.

My daughter would prepare a list in advance of topics she would like to cover with Tony - he was always very flexible and she found his Higher level course knowledge was brilliant.

Tony's confidence and positive attitude definitely rubbed off on my daughter and she always come out her lesson feeling motivated and less stressed.

I would highly recommend Tony and I will definitely be contacting him again if my younger daughter requires tuition in the future.
