Toni

I am a full-time session drummer and educator based in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I play for BBC sound poll up and coming artist 'Joesef' and have played on various live radio stations such as BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1xtra down at Maida Vale studios in London. I also have a weekly residency at The Jazz Bar in Edinburgh with 'Future Heroes' a 5 piece funk band.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching privately for 6 years now and a lot of my students have achieved their Rock school graded exam certificates with distinction and merit. I have also been working in Dalkeith Community Campus as a Drum tutor and ensemble leader for 2 year now with students aged 14-18.

Tutoring Approach

I like to break the lessons down into learning by ear, learning to read, playing along to music, learning technical exercises and also learning fun exercises. I create my own material based on what the student wants to learn. I also teach from the Rock school graded books as mentioned previously a number of my students have now sat Rock school exams.
