Hello! My name is Tom. I'm originally from Oxford but moved up to Scotland for university. This summer I have just graduated in Chemistry from Heriot-Watt. I have a preference for organic chemistry but am very comfortable teaching all areas.
I'm currently studying for my PGDE, teaching chemistry and general science at secondary school level. I have had a lot of experince with children aged 5-15 in after school clubs, helping out with extra curricula acctivies. I have done a lot of work in my PGDE course on being even more articulate when explaining complex chemistry.
I'm a big fan of doing exam style questions and disecting them, not only teaching students the chemistry required but also how to get their knowledge across most effectively in an exam situation. Ofcourse, this can only be done after the student understands the chemistry to a high level. I have access to a lot of visual recourses to help aid the student with grasping difficult concepts.
