English and Entrance Exams Teacher in Perth

I have been a Head of English and Head of Sixth Form; I am a Principal Teacher in Perth & Kinross. I have successfully tutored a number of students over the last decade for school entrance, public examinations, study skills and university applications. I mark all levels of examination for the SQA.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a qualified teacher since 2004, and an exam marker since 2005. I have taught in both England and Scotland; in both state and private schools.

Tutoring Approach

I take an organic, rapport-based approach to tutoring, setting tasks of mutual interest and dealing with any weaknesses identified in my student's responses. I prefer to liaise with students' school teachers to ensure totality of progression, and use judiciously generated data to build confidence.
