I am a recently retired teacher of science, specialising in Chemistry but have also successfully taught Physics and Biology to GCSE level. Additionally I have taught maths at KST 3 (11-14)
I have taught for 35 years, the last 30 of which have been at a school in Staffordshire. I have held a number of roles including Head of Science and member of the Senior Leadership Team.
I believe in good exam technique and the application of knowledge to GCSE questions. This allows knowledge gaps to be identified and addressed effectively.
When teaching maths I deliver bite size content and develop confidence with hierarchical practice questions leading to more extended application type questions.
I prefer face to face teaching as it is more responsive and flexible.
