Hi! I'm Thomas, a passionate and patient tutor with a strong academic background in biochemistry and synthetic chemistry. I graduated with an upper second-class honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, where I also achieved a first-class grade for my final year research project in asymmetric catalysis. I’ve had hands-on experience in both academic and industry settings, including time at GSK’s residential training program and as a laboratory assistant at a biomedical company.
I hold a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, where I completed a first-class research project in synthetic chemistry focused on asymmetric catalysis. I’ve gained hands-on lab experience both academically and professionally, including work at GSK’s Residential Chemistry Training Experience and as a laboratory assistant at Research Donors. These roles strengthened my technical knowledge and communication skills, which I apply in my tutoring. I began tutoring GCSE students while studying for my A-levels and found it incredibly rewarding. During university, I took a step back from tutoring to focus on research and lab work, but now I’m excited to return to tutoring and share my knowledge and experience to help students succeed.
My tutoring style is friendly, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students truly understand the material—breaking down complex scientific concepts and building confidence step-by-step. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or similar in chemistry, biology, or related fields, I'm here to help you build confidence and achieve your academic goals
