I graduated in Mathematics and Statistics with distinction. I have a Masters Degree in software engineering. Naturally, I love making a difference to students learning; and it gives me great deal of satisfaction to help a student absorb the concepts of maths. In my career as a private tutor, I have helped many students to improve their grades.
Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring maths for over 10 years. I also help students in preparation for 11+ entrance examinations in maths and non-verbal reasoning. I encourage students to work hard to reach their full potential and achieve better grades. Recently I have helped one of my students to move from foundation level to higher tier in her GCSE module, achieving a total of 92%.
Tutoring Approach
My approach is non-judgmental and friendly. I assess the student’s level of understanding and use a technique which is suitable. I avoid wasting time teaching the student what they are already good at. My lessons are well detailed and prepared to give the student with as much knowledge as possible. I encourage them to practice more and advise them on exam technique and how to achieve better grades. Most importantly I will teach them all the techniques required to solve mathematical questions, these are skills that I have acquired from several years of experience.
