Tatiana is a very good, patient Tutor and takes the time needed to explain everything as we go.

Tatiana was swift to respond to an enquiry, we had a very positive first meeting and she has engaged excellently in teaching our daughter Japanese. Tatiana has made the language interesting; offers helpful comments on pronunciation and the meaning and history of words; and sets useful homework, going in a structured way through a workbook with a view to a possible exam in the future.

Tatiana knows the Russian language like the back of her hand. Also, she has the added advantages that she speaks English like an educated native speaker would and she is available on weekends as well. My last tutor, whom I also nabbed from this site, was excellent too but she became hospitalised (nothing to do with me I might add) and could no longer offer me two sessions a week so I had to look elsewhere. Tatiana has steppped in nicely and I am back to two sessions a week and back in the fast lane, where I want to be.I can highly recommed Tatiana-she's a real, professional lnguist.

I’ve tried to learn Japanese before and I could never grasp the basic setup of the Japanese language, luckily Tatiana showed me how the language works and has left me with enough knowledge to study by myself between lessons.

I’ve recently just started my GCSE course and I needed a tutor for Japanese as my school doesn’t provide Japanese teachers and Tatiana has been really great in helping me learn and understand the course very well. We go through various topics like comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and kanji which I find is crucial in order to understand the course. Thanks to this teacher I feel more confident and comfortable in taking up my exams!

My aim was to get a basic understanding of Japanese before travelling over to work at the Rugby World Cup. Tatiana was excellent in her approach and and engaging tutor, who made each lesson enjoyable.

Working with Tatiana is a stress-free and pleasant experience. She knows how to approach a student at a beginner level (I've experienced tutors who make you anxious if you are completely new to a subject) and flexibly adjusts the course content. I know that I've found the right person for Japanese when she can clearly explain some of the more subtle nuances of the language, not just textbook grammar. Highly recommended!

Tatiana is a patient teacher who is helping me with my goal of learning contemporary Russian.
She encourages me to add other material outside of our lessons and has sufficient command of her subject to answer by detailed questions. She also helps me by adding societal context to matters such as grammar and rules (and deviations from) pronunciation.
I am very pleased with Tatiana’s teaching and feel that I am making good progress.

When I first meet Tatiana, she greeted me with kindness and understanding. Understanding that I was late for my first lesson, but where to help guide me in my progress to learn a new language. Her guidance in learning a new language has been made much easier and fun. I would highly recommend Tatiana as a teacher and guide to studying Japanese. :-)

Tatiana has proved herself to be an excellent Russian teacher, I have had 3 lessons so far and I feel I have already made significant progress. Her explanations are succinct and she has made several aspects of the language seem infinitely more approachable. I look forward to our sessions every week.

Tatiana responded promptly to my initial enquiry about Russian lessons and has been an excellent tutor to deal with. She has communicated well, and I have been really impressed with the speed and ease of setting up lessons for my son. He is really enjoying the lessons and finds Tatiana very approachable, hard working and says she is very good teacher, he is certainly picking up Russian fast.

Very clear and comprehensible explanations. Tatiana's teaching is enjoyable and I'm already making good progress after just three lessons!

Communication from when I requested her as a tutor was very swift. Within less than a day I had a scheduled study session for the next day.
We got straight into studying and it didn't feel awkward at all. Since our first meeting my reading skills have improved a lot thanks to Tatiana. It has helped me be more self assured of how I learn Kanji and my best methods. Having Tatiana available gives me the confidence that what I am learning is correct.

Tatiana is a great teacher, because she is patient, encouraging and very relaxed, yet she takes the time to thoroughly explain the mechanics of the language. As a result, I've learned a considerable amount of Russian in a short period of time! However, the only thing I would say is that we don't tend to go back and revise the previous lesson, and it would be great if that were to happen in future sessions. Other than that, I really enjoy my lessons and I'm lucky to have Tatiana as a teacher.

It was great to get free learning material which was not only used in the lesson but it was also accessible after the lesson allowing me to go over what we learned on my own. Tatiana herself is a very friendly teacher with a unique way of teaching. Simply saying, I am more than pleased with my lessons and so are my parents when they see the progress I make!

Tatiana is a very approachable, patient and has been great at going over specific Japanese language topics, until they are fully understood. Katie really enjoys the fact that she is so knowledgeable about Japan and brings the country to life, by talking about the people and culture, as well as the language itself.

Tatiana is a great tutor, offering a laid back and professional tutoring experience all in one. Tatiana has proved to be an excellent tutor for our 15 year old son Jack. He started teaching himself Japanese and wants to prepare for the GCSE and get speaking practice as well. Tatiana is reliable, punctual, has a sense of humour and really knows her stuff. Jack in making good progress already. They’ve had 90 minute sessions and covered a lot of ground with each meeting. There's the added benefit of learning some Russian as well. We thoroughly recommend her.

Great réponse and 3 lessons so far. My son is studying for GCSE in Japanese and from what I can see the lessons are well run and keeping him on track. Will update as we progress.

Absolutely wonderful!! I requested Tatiana's help with learning the Japanese language from scratch, with the idea in mind that I will be fluent enough to communicate during my travels around the country beginning October 2016. From the very day I reached out to Tatiana, she replied within 45 minutes, regardless of her very busy schedule! With her very welcoming, enthusiastic and confident mail, I decided to plan my first lesson there and then. I was worried, because I live on a small island off the coast of the country, and originally believed that only face to face lessons would be beneficial, however Tatiana assured me that Skype would work out fine, as it does for a number of her current students. I had my first lesson today, via skype video, and have finished with a huge smile and confidence in my ability over the next 18 months. It was like Tatiana was in the room with me! It felt no different to one to one tutoring, and I was provided with worksheet, and even a Hiragama workbook to begin working through. I have been given my exercise book to order for next lesson, and already cannot wait. I'm saying sentences already which I never thought I would after only one hour of her time. Such a warm and friendly welcome to the language, with a truly personable tutor. I couldn't be happier! Thank you Tatiana!!!

Tatiana is thorough, patient and professional. I am a dead beginner in Russian and she has really helped me find my feet. She's also very easy to reach during non class hours and always takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly, giving me the information I need. As much of a challenge as learning Russian is, I'm glad I have her as a tutor. Highly recommended.

My lessons with Tatiana are fun and I am very glad I decided to have her as my tutor. The course work is always a little bit challenging (in a good way) and I come away feeling like I've learned something essential to building my language proficiency. Her knowledge in various languages seems to give her a good grasp on how to teach me the language in a way that I can understand. All in all, I couldn't recommend her enough!

I started learning Japanese with Tatiana a few weeks ago and so far I am loving it. The lessons are well structured and she spares no time getting into the important aspects of learning a new language. She is easy to talk to and patient tutor who makes sure that you fully understand the teachings and is not one to rush you. I always leave our lessons feeling I have really progressed and with the drive to leave more.

We have only had one lesson but here is my feedback. Tatiana sent me an online test before our lesson, to minimise time spent during the lesson on finding out my level. Still ahead of the lesson, she responded to my test answers by sending through several potentially suitable texts for study during the lesson. She arrived promptly to start the lesson, and during the lesson demonstrated an ability to answer technical points on grammar as well as improve my accent, etc. Her approach to the financial side of things was equally efficient and professional. I recommend her.

Tatiana is a fantastic teacher who's both patient and professional. The online Japanese lessons that I've been taking are well structured and demanding enough that you come away from each learning both new words and concepts.

I started Japanese lessons with Tatiana a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it.

Her lessons are well structured but flexible with plenty of variety and great resources (even if your lessons are online like mine). She is also very patient and explains things well so its easy to ask if I don't understand something. I get a reasonable amount of homework which enforces what we've learnt in the lesson and I find the independent study useful.

Tatiana covers everything in detail so I know that I'm building a thorough understanding of grammar etc. and I already feel more confident about my grasp of the language. I would definitely recommend her.

At first I was sceptical about taking Japanese lessons from a non-native speaker, but Tatiana soon alleviated any concerns I had. Tatiana was able to clarify many points which I have been struggling with for years. She is very clear in everything she explains. The class is always fun, as well as educational, and I cannot believe how fast the time goes. Tatiana always does lots of preparation before the class. Now that she's got my level, the work she sets pushes me to my limits. Tatiana is not a clock watcher and I would say that she is fantastic value for money. I look forward to studying with her for a long time to come.

My son really enjoys his Japanese lessons with Tatiana. She is always punctual and well organised for a full hour lesson with him and leaves him with work to do for the next lesson. I wasn't sure how a 12 year old boy would cope with a 1-1 lesson in Japanese for 1 hour but with Tatiana he really gets a lot out of the lesson and is making sound progress. She makes him feel at ease, which is not easy. He finishes every lesson with a smile on his face, clearly really enjoys each lesson and is always looking forward to the next one. Couldn't ask for better!

I have only recently started my Russian lessons with Tatiana. She always arrives before time and well prepared for my lessons. I do not pretend that I find it easy (I'm 59 years old so my brain is getting back into learning mode again) but Tatiana is very patient and has understood where to focus my learning. It's very early days but from the short time Tatiana has been my tutor I do not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Russian.
