Currently in my 18th year of full time secondary science teaching I am confident in all subjects to GCSE and Biology and Chemistry A level. I have a wealth of experience and am confident in teaching AQA, both Trilogy and Separate Sciences but am also fully comfortable and ready to teach all specifications.
I am currently KS4 coordinator but have experience of being Head of department at a large comprehensive secondary school in MK.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring Approach

I believe all students can succeed with a friendly, supportive approach. I have a relaxed and firm but fair approach to teaching and believe that all students can excel if they are willing to work hard and act on advice given. My experience enables me to quickly identify areas the tutee requires to focus on and I will ensure that my planning and teaching will allow for these areas of focus to be addressed. I set homework tasks which we go through in the next session. This ensures that the tutees have time to practice the skills they have learnt in the lesson.
