Hi, I'm Tam. I'm an experienced tutor with a background in architecture and education. I am currently studying towards a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University focusing on connections between education, design and craft.
I have 3 years experience tutoring mathematics at GCSE and KS3 level, and around this I have also taught at university level as well as running many workshops exploring mathematical ideas, including through crafts or other creative practices.
Different students require different approaches and I like to work with individuals to gain an understanding of each other first. Through this we can start to discuss problem areas and consider ways to make them more accessible and build up confidence. Coming up to exams we will consider your targets based on your own aspirations and current grade predictions and get used to the ways exams work so that when you go into them you are calm and ready to go!
