Tahmina

Tahmina is a Grammar School-educated graduate with QTS. An experienced Mathematics teacher with high success rates in 11+ and GCSE.

Tahmina is patient and supportive tutor with several years experience teaching pupils in a mainstream classroom setting, in small groups and on a one-to-one level. Tahmna is very familiar with the new GCSE curriculum and 11+ structures and is confident in preparing pupils for these examinations.

She has high expectations of all her pupils and strongly believes that aiming high is the first step to academic success. Tahmina provides her students with self-confidence and motivation within her lessons. Her passion for the subject and light hearted approach has worked well for many of her previous pupils where their results have exceeded their predicted grades.

Tutoring Experience

Holding a bachelor honours degree in Mathematics and Education as well as a qualified teacher status. She has taught both in primary and secondary schools across London, Sussex and Kent as well as tuition centres including 'Extra Tuition Centre' and 'Tuitions for you' based in North West Kent.

Tahmina has successfully placed many students into grammar school in Kent, Essex and Central London.

Tutoring for the 11+ is her expertise. Having been through the process herself and educated at a Kent grammar school; she is able to relate to students and build their confidence. She has expert knowledge and will extensively teach all 4 areas of the 11+ helping your child to secure their place in grammar school.

Tutoring Approach

In the initial lesson, Tahmina assesses her student’s current level and aims to build upon their current knowledge and understanding. She works with pupils on an individual basis and personalises lessons to cater for their needs.

She often addresses difficult areas of the mathematics curriculum by making links to real life contexts and personal interests. Tahmina is an inspiring and enthusiastic tutor, who is committed to teaching and helping your child achieve their full potential.
