Hello, my name is Sylvia Removed. I am an experienced and qualified language tutor with over 18 years of teaching experience in French, ESL (English as a Second Language), and Spanish. I have taught across KS2, KS3, and KS4, including successful preparation of students for GCSE exams, and I currently work in an independent school in the West Midlands.
I hold a Master's degree in French and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and I’m fluent in English, French, and Bulgarian, with additional skills in Spanish and Russian. My teaching style is adaptable and student-centered, focusing on building confidence, language fluency, and cultural awareness. I use a range of interactive and practical methods, including project-based learning and technology integration, to help learners of all ages achieve their goals.
Whether working with children or adults, my goal is always to make language learning engaging, structured, and effective.
I have over 18 years of experience teaching French, ESL, and Spanish to a wide range of learners, from primary school pupils to GCSE-level students and adult learners. I’ve worked both in mainstream education and as a private tutor, supporting students in developing strong communication skills, exam techniques, and cultural understanding. My experience includes classroom teaching, one-to-one tuition, and online instruction, all tailored to suit individual learning needs and goals.
My approach as a tutor—whether online or in person—is highly adaptable, interactive, and student-focused. I aim to build confidence, accuracy, and real-world communication skills through clear explanations, engaging activities, and consistent reinforcement. I use a mix of structured resources, practical tasks, and technology to make learning enjoyable and effective. I tailor each session to the learner’s needs, learning style, and goals—be it for exams, travel, school support, or personal development. Many of my students have made significant progress in a short time, including successful GCSE results, improved fluency, and increased motivation and independence in language learning.
