I am a Secondary Teacher registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland to teach Physics and Science. I have 11 years experience of teaching Physics and Science in Scottish schools. I am a highly motivated, high-achieving individual and I have all the necessary skills to help your child achieve the highest grades possible.

Tutoring Experience

I am very familiar with the syllabus for National 3, National 4, National 5, and CfE Higher Physics. I have tutored secondary students in Physics. I work with students who have a range of abilities, from those struggling to grasp the fundamental concepts and pass their exams, to those aiming for an A pass.

Tutoring Approach

Initially, I would like to know the strengths and weaknesses of the student so that I can formulate a strategy to consolidate their strengths and address their weaknesses.
I also do practice sessions based on actual exam questions from past papers, so that the students can perform best in their final exams (where relevant).
I provide a relaxed and comfortable, but efficient, method of tuition. Working through problem-solving questions, explaining clearly any problem areas, with weekly targets and overall goals for the tuition. Confidence is gained in the subject through examples, clear explanations, and guided problem-solving.
I have developed a variety of materials and resources which stimulate pupils' learning and enhance the delivery of Curriculum for Excellence (CfE). I have developed different materials for National 4 and National 5 Physics including Summary Notes, Unit-by-Unit past paper questions, Exam styles questions, Revision material, Assessment Tasks, Homework Exercises, and alternative activities.
I offer online tutoring in the National 4, National 5, and Higher Physics.
