I offer high quality, technically advanced tutoring at an affordable price. I specialise in subjects that require excellent English writing skills which I can support to help your child excel in their subjects such as 11+ Entrance Exams, A Level Sociology, A Level Psychology, GCSE Sociology & GCSE Psychology.
I am an AQA Examiner since 2017 to present and specialise in homework and marking using collaborative technology.
I’m ambitious, realistic and passionate about contributing positively to future generations with a successful career in the teaching sector for 12 years and 9 years as Head of Department (current position).
Many parents turn to my expertise because of this belief. Homework is to provide further practice from new knowledge learnt, and to stretch their learning further to help student progress. Homework must be completed for every session which supports significant progress to be made and I provide immediate feedback using online systems.
I have always been passionate about academia something which was instilled in me throughout my life. Studying the Politics course at Aston University has broadened my horizons, helping me to become an independent learner whilst developing my own ideas and thoughts. The whole experience of my university life has put in place the attitude teaching has; in harbouring a process to inspire a passion for learning, and helping students to become more independent learners.
This is evident in my teaching career as I embark my journey as Psychology & Sociology leader at an outstanding school which shares my vision of connecting the whole child, regardless of their background, to a successful life journey similar to mine.
My specialism in private tutoring is in 11+ Entrance Exams, Psychology & Sociology A Levels because of the impactful results I make in short bursts of revision using my Examiner experience and training run up to the Summer examination period.
My current and recent experiences are at a Sixth Form and high school level; here I teach A Level Sociology & Psychology in West London. I believe that my most successful teaching experience has been at Forest Gate School where I worked as an Assistant Headteacher and my most impressive achievement is achieving a National Professional Qualification in Lead Teaching in 2023 through UCL.
I am a well rounded individual who has personal life and academic accomplishments. I believe it is important to provide tutoring that facilitates homework which can be marked to inform progress and shape the next tutoring session. I keep parents fully informed of what happens in tutoring sessions, homework and targets using a shared documents which can be accessed at the convenience of the parent.
With over 15 years experience in tutoring and 12 years teaching in schools, I have an extensive set of skills to progress every student.
After graduating with a 2.1 in a BSc in Politics, I continued my passion to teach through tutoring children English and Maths. At the Institute of Education London, I completed my PGCE and was involved in an intensive research teaching EAL to become a Qualified Teacher.
I chose to teach at Secondary level as it involves many opportunities to provide the future generations with the knowledge to be successful in an ever growing multicultural society.
