I am a passionate and experienced private tutor based in Dartford, specialising in 11+ preparation and primary school subjects such as Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology . With many years of experience supporting students from Reception through to Year 10, I take pride in helping young learners build confidence, develop strong foundational skills, and excel academically.

Tutoring Experience

I gained a deep understanding of the curriculum from Reception through to Year 10. Additionally, I have worked with students transitioning into secondary education, particularly in Year 7 Maths, to ensure a smooth and confident progression from Year 6.

My journey began with tutoring my two children and friends’ children for their 11+ exams. All of them successfully secured places at competitive Grammar Schools. As of now, my eldest is in year 9 , while my youngest attends Dartford Grammar School. This personal and professional experience has given me insights into tailoring lessons to suit each child’s individual learning style.

I have successfully tutored numerous students, focusing on developing their academic potential and helping them master challenging concepts in a way that makes learning enjoyable and effective.

Tutoring Approach

One thing I have learned through my kids schooling in UK is, most of the schools just teach them how to solve the problem but they lack in explaining the basics behind solving techniques and how to solve in step-wise manner where the working can be seen and have fundamental cleared in child's mind.

My teaching philosophy is centered around the unique needs of each student. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment where children feel confident to ask questions and tackle challenges. Using personalised techniques, I help students master the fundamentals while preparing them for the rigours of exams like the 11+.

I specialise in both face-to-face and online tutoring, using Zoom’s whiteboard and interactive tools to create a dynamic virtual classroom experience. Whether in-person or online, my focus is on fostering academic growth and building lifelong learning skills.
