I am an enthusiastic, experienced musician and secondary school music teacher of over 10 years. I teach traditional Accordion, Keyboard harmony and music theory. I can also tutor for SQA N5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels. All areas of performance, composition and understanding music.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught many pupils over the years ranging from beginners to older adults. All levels can be catered for. Beginners and more experienced musicians are welcome. I have performed in many different bands and groups over the years and specialise in teaching traditional music. I have won many music competitions and have a wealth of experience performing on many albums, BBC radio broadcasts and televaion work.

Tutoring Approach

I always make sure lessons are enjoyable, engaging and with appropriate challenge. Learning correct technique is very important as well as understanding basic music theory. Playing be ear and developing listening skills is also encouraged and worked on. I can tailor all lessons to suit ability. Weekly or fortnightly lessons are available.
