Since 2004 my mainly KS3 and GCSE maths students have done well and recommended me to their friends and neighbours.

Before tutoring I gained BSc. Hons. and MSc. Both from The University of Durham. In addition to my work in education, I had 6 years post-graduate research experience and also 3 years as a consultant to an IT company working in industry using molecular modelling.
I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate (Criminal Record Check).

Tutoring Experience

Mathematics Tutor 2004 onwards, including - KS2, 11+, CE, KS3, GCSE, iGCSE, A level.
Lead Learning Mentor in a Hounslow school. I have also taught in Secondary schools, FE, prison, education centres and worked with home educated students.

Tutoring Approach

I have a friendly, relaxed and flexible approach to tutoring. I try to encourage and enable my students to overcome their barriers to learning, especially drawing on experience as a Learning Mentor in Hounslow. Some of my students have also been dyslexic and some started out very lacking in confidence, yet they nearly all end up saying “this is easy!”.
