I am an experienced and successful teacher of Mathematics with a proven track record, I offer private tuition to students in Mathematics.
I have a gentle and supportive personality and strive to create confidence in the mathematics students I teach.
Nearly all of my lesson observations have been graded outstanding including feedback I have obtained from OFSTED lesson observations in the last decade.
I have taught Mathematics almost exclusively in the post-16 sector mostly A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics but also GCSE resit courses at both Higher and Foundation level ,also
Functional skills at level 2 in Mathematics.During my career I have mainly taught the 16-19 age group but also adult learners at evening classes as well as Access programmes. I started my career in 1990 and have over 30 years teaching experience.
Previous Employment:
The Sixth Form College Colchester from 2008-2023. I taught A level Mathematics and Mathematical Studies (Core Mathematics). I have also taught A level Further Mathematics, AS Statistics, GCSE Mathematics , Functional skills level 2 and International Baccalaureate Mathematical Studies. I was also a pastoral tutor until 2018.
