Hi, my name's Steve and I've been teaching maths in the Dudley area since I qualified as a teacher in 2008. I am a proud dad of 4 and immensely enjoy the satisfaction of supporting a young person to meet their goals with their maths. I keep active, a keen golfer and DIY enthusiast!
I have been tutoring one on one since around 2009, supporting many students through GCSE at both higher and foundation levels. I enjoy creating and providing resources for my clients that will best support their needs. So many of my previous students have gone on to achieve success with their maths and my pastoral experience in my school has also allowed me to impart long lasting positivity and drive into the students I work with.
I am extremely positive (much to the annoyance of my wife!) and will always endeavour to encourage this in my students. I am patient, easy going and supportive. My ability to question, as well as my background in psychology allows me to understand the needs of a student and tailor my approach accordingly. I am keen to keep open dialogue with parents or carers, providing regular, honest feedback to ensure everyone is working together to support the student in their success.
Please note, my wife is a nurse and works shift patterns that regularly change. I will always try to stick to a set tutoring date but ask for flexibility please!
