I am an experienced Spanish tutor for beginners through to A’level. Working with students we’ve gained some huge success stories, both for academic and adult learners of the language. I have tutored GCSE students who’ve really disliked Spanish at the beginning and by the time they are taking exams, they’re considering studying at A’level or continued study in their personal time. Building confidence and pleasure with the language are critical to success for all language learners.
I started learning Spanish at secondary school and during the last 30 years have continued to build on my level of language expertise through studies with the Institute of Linguists, university and the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to my First Class BA Hons degree in Spanish, I have more than two years' experience of the practical application of the Spanish language in Argentina, working for a public sector organisation as a consultant.
Tutoring Experience
I have an excellent understanding of the GCSE and A’level Spanish curriculum with all examination boards. Working with students, we've achieved some huge successes in building language understanding and most importantly, confidence, critical to achieving good grades.

Tutoring Approach
I have studied and gained language qualifications with a range of awarding organisations, and have a certificate in tutoring stage 3. I understand the various approaches to language learning.
I fully appreciate the different methods of teaching required and how they need to be tailored to the individual's learning style. I am able to adapt the tuition to the preferred learning styles in order to facilitate language learning and to successfully meet the objectives of the student. Regular reviews with the student (and parents) to discuss and agree the tutoring approach and progress being made are key to successful learning.
