I am a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. graduate in the Behavioural Sciences which highly qualifies me to teach Sociology and Psychology and I am passionate about both subjects as to how they relate to life experiences. I have a teaching qualification, namely a PGCE and understand teaching theory as applied to both the classroom and the individual situation when teaching learners. Part of my job has involved marking both A Level and GCSE examination papers and have a thorough understanding the levels required.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experiences are in GCSE, A Level, Access to Higher Education, BTEC and degree level and have taught both psychology and sociology to these levels. I have also taught Maths upto GCSE Level. The students who I have taught have been the mainstream 16-19 year olds and the mature students. I have a thorough understanding of the needs from students of different ages and abilities. My examination results have been excellent
I have experience of group and individual teaching and have vast experiences of private tuition where the learners have excelled

Tutoring Approach

I use the interactive approach to tutoring where explanations are used with question and answers. Theories and concepts are discussed using this teaching methods. Sociological and Psychological theories are applied to real life situations whether from the media or from the learners direct experience.
Following the assessment criteria and setting past examination papers to learners is an essential tool. I will teach learners either on an individual or a group basis of up to 12 people.
