Hi there! My names Stephen, thanks for looking at my profile.

For me, teaching has always been something of importance. I love to learn and I've come to enjoy even more being able to pass on knowledge in a way that someone can not only understand, but enjoy learning as well.

From there, it is then about how to apply it appropriately, rather than simply regurgitating it under duress. Pass or fail, I hope to be able to help all my students develop academically and make the progress they may be missing out on.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored close family and friends since the end of 2018, working more specifically on 11+ tutoring since late 2020.

I have AAB A-Levels (History, Economics, Maths) and a 2:1 from University of Exeter in BA History.

Tutoring Approach

Over my years of tutoring, I've enjoy building a relationship with my students that cannot be replicated in most learning environments. By seeing me more as an equal rather than a superior, they're a lot more comfortable to admit weaknesses or problem areas which we can then resolve together, rather than a scatter gun approach.

In turn, it also allows me to adjust the content and style of the lessons on a personalized basis each time and provide the necessary resources to ensure your child gets the most from every session. Said resources can also be provided to help assist with the learning outside of our lessons, as I am a resolute believer in "little and often" as the route to success.

Your introductory lesson would be 45 minutes free of charge, a typical session would be an hour long.
