I have been teaching for twenty-three years and have taught in primary, secondary, mainstream and SEND. Some recent, verifiable, feedback from 2025:

Tutoring Approach

My work is the teaching of knowledge and skills. I have taught everything from the 'a' sound to Macbeth and the names of 2D shapes to Pythagoras' Theorem. To do this requires both subject and pedagogical expertise. It also requires an understanding of children, their needs and what motivates them - some children are ready to learn, others are not. Remove the barriers to learning and every child can thrive. My approach, therefore, is flexible, friendly, but firm and aims to give the best to all children.
