Private Maths and Physics Tuition in Port Talbot

I am currently a university lecturer within a chemical engineering department. In 2022 I was awarded a PhD in Chemistry and Materials Engineering, having previously been awarded a BSc(Hons) in Forenisc Chemistry in 2017. I am currently involved in a number of taught modules across chemical engineering and have been involved in the delivery of chemistry content since beginning my PhD in 2018. As well as my academic experince, I have also worked as an industrial chemist in large-scale chemicals manufacturing.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently a lecturer at a university, teaching chemistry and chemical engineering within a chemical engineering department. To date, I have been involved in the delivery of six taught modules and four practical modules, and have been involved in both teaching and assessment, as well as the design and delivery of new modules/topics. I also have recent experience in tutoring A-level chemistry against WJEC specifications.

Tutoring Approach

Broadly, my approach to tutoring is one of patience and understanding, but I am also very passionate, and want the students to enjoy their learning experience and to get the most out of it. I have spent a decade studying, working, and researching within the field chemistry, and as such, I have an extensive knowledge and ability to explain concepts in a number of ways. My passion for the subject, and for science as a whole, is translated to my tutoring, whereby I hope students will be encouraged to develop and follow their own passions. Understanding the needs of the students is key, and should be established almost immediately. Reviewing this throughout can then help to see where development is taking place and perhaps identify addition areas that need work.
