I'm a recent graduate from Imperial College London BSc Biochemistry with Spanish for Science (predicted 1st class honours) continuing with postgraduate studies next year. I also achieved all 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A level (Westminster School).
I'm approachable and enjoy supporting students to achieve their full academic potential. As a recent student myself, I appreciate the demands on students' time and hope to provide targeted guidance to maximise their results for the time they invest.
I have tutored multiple students over a 2 year period across Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Spanish. After a short break to focus on my studies in my final year I'm now looking to get back into tutoring.
I always tailor my sessions to meet the needs and goals of my students. I begin sessions with a discussion to understand what the student understands, working with the relevant exam specification to ensure no gaps are missed. Following this discussion, we tackle past exam questions and review them with mark schemes provided by exam boards. I love my subjects and I'm always happy to discuss topics in more detail (eg. looking at recent research) if that's of interest to the student.
Frequently, I've seen students struggle with the volume of content, especially across many subjects at GCSE, and picking up marks in exams. I believe my approach gives students the transferable skills to efficiently revise and answer exam questions across all subjects so their knowledge is reflected in their grades.
