I am a final-year language student at Trinity College Dublin, studying Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. I have consistently achieved First Class Honours throughout my degree and am on track to graduate with a First overall. With a strong academic background and a genuine passion for languages, I aim to make learning engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. My experience studying multiple languages has given me deep insight into effective language-learning strategies, and I’m excited to help others build confidence and fluency in a supportive and encouraging environment.
have extensive experience working with children and teenagers aged 8–18 in both educational and recreational settings. I worked as an au pair in Italy, where I helped prepare three children (aged 9–16) for their Cambridge English exams, tailoring lessons to suit their individual levels and learning styles. I have also led drama and sports activities at children’s summer camps and worked as a child supervisor at an adventure playground. These experiences, combined with my academic background, receiving 2A*s and 1A at ALevel in Spanish, History and English Literature as well as perusing my studies in Modern Languages at Trinity College Dublin, have equipped me with strong communication skills, creativity, and patience. All of which make me a supportive and effective tutor.
My approach to tutoring GCSE and A-Level languages is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. I begin by understanding each student’s exam board, syllabus, and specific goals, then tailor lessons to strengthen weaker areas while building on their strengths. I incorporate a mix of grammar practice, vocabulary development, and regular use of past papers to improve exam technique across all four skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. I place a strong emphasis on building speaking confidence through conversation practice, role plays, and useful high-level phrases. I aim to make sessions engaging and student-led, while also encouraging independent study with effective revision strategies and accessible resources. Above all, I create a positive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and supported in reaching their full potential.
