I am a current secondary school maths teacher and have been doing private maths tuition outside of school (for students ranging from primary, secondary, GCSE to A-levels) for over 10 years. I have been very successful in helping all my students and tutees to achieve their targets and aspirations whatever that may be.

Tutoring Experience

I have a degree in Maths and have a PGCE in teaching Maths to students of all ranges. I am also qualified with an Executive MBA. I have also been teaching Maths in secondary schools for over 10 years and have also been a private maths tutor for same number of years. Therefore I have plenty of experience in building confidence and understanding every student's difficulties and barriers in order for each to succeed and achieve their own individual goals. As I am a current maths teacher, I am very up to date with the maths syllabus and curriculum and this will help many of my students who I tutor.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is to first begin with an analysis or short assessment to see where the student is currently working at and then to have a friendly and focused discussion with the parent and the child to understand what they want to achieve and the time frame in order to aim towards. Then I will plan a series of lessons to whatever will suit the student. The most important thing is to build up their confidence so they can actually believe they can do it. I will continue to work in a friendly manner with the them and guide them towards their goals. My philosophy has 100% worked for all my students since I have been a private maths tutor.
