I have extensive experience teaching Psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate level across all core topics and tutored/supervised many students with their research projects and dissertations. I teach advanced ourses in Biological Psychology, Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology. I have also tutored numerous A-level students' from diverse educational backgrounds, both in person and online, with excellent results.
I believe a solid grounding in the basic concepts is essential so I really focus on developing this understanding through a patient and clear tutoring style. I work hard to inspire a passion for the subject: I believe that linking study materials to their real-world relevance is the best way to engage students' and ignite a desire to learn, seek out and retain knowledge. At the same time I work on exam technique: how to structure answers, write critically and present arguments that are coherent and convincing. These skills give my tutees the very best chance of excellent grades at A-level and the confidence to impress in University entrance exams/interviews.
